About John Reynolds
Coming soon...I was born in 1944 in Boonville, IN. I met my wife of 48 years in High School there. I have always been interested in art and drawing, and painting. From an early age i would draw cartoons and sketch buildings. I enrolled in Architecture school at Ball State University in 1968 and graduated in 1973. I also received my license in that same year. I had an architectural firm starting in 1973 and i have my license current. About 1980 I became interested in making jewelry and began to study and make gold jewelry at a building i owened in Muncie, IN. I moved to Noblesville, IN in 1982 and opened a jewelry store there. About 1989 I started to take painting lessons and in 1992 I opened my artist studio at the Stutz Center in Indianapolis. I still maintain that studio that has studios for about 65 artists. I have been a full-time artist for about 20 years now.
I have taken artists workshops from some of the nation's most prominent artists from California to New York. I started teaching art at the Indianapolis Art Center in 1996. I have taught art at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts since 2000. I also teach at the Hamilton Country Artists Association where I am currently a member.
Over the past 15 years I have won numerous awards such as First in Oil at the Hoosier Salon, second place, purchase awards and honerable mention. I have also won first and second at the Indiana State Fair Art Show. My work has been purchased by indeviduals and corprate clients thruout the United States, such as Eli Lilly and UPS International.
